Who we are, and how a company gets on this site
Independent startup journalism. Profiles of the early-stage companies worth watching. We have published more than 800 profiles since 2021, across 10 sectors.
We started because the companies worth knowing about were being covered either far too late, once they had already raised a large round, or not at all. A profile here is a research document: what the company does, who built it, what is actually in production, and what would have to be true for it to matter.
Editorial standards
How companies are selected
An editor reads every submission. We look for a structural problem being solved, a product in real use, and a named customer or measurable result we can verify.
Sourcing
Every profile is built from primary sources: company documentation and interviews. External claims are linked, and we say plainly when a figure comes from the company and has not been independently verified.
Corrections
Errors are fixed in place and noted with a date at the foot of the article. Substantive corrections are never made silently.
Updates
Profiles are revisited when a company's status materially changes. The "updated" date on an article reflects the last real revision.
Contact
Pitches, corrections and press enquiries are welcome. We read everything and reply to what we can.
